What is Thanh Tuyen Tea?
Thanh Tuyen Tea belongs to the Red Tea (Black Tea) line from ancient Shan Tuyet tea trees. It is made from 100% whole one-bud-one-leaf shoots from Shan Tuyet tea trees aged between 300 and 500 years, growing in the ancient tea forests of the Northwest mountainous region. Through fermentation and oxidation, Thanh Tuyen Tea produces a gentle sweetness, a pleasant aftertaste, and an appealing flavor that captivates drinkers.
Characteristics of Thanh Tuyen Tea
Thanh Tuyen Tea is carefully selected from the finest white Shan Tuyet tea buds, delivering the richest flavor. The finished tea offers a full-bodied taste without bitterness or astringency, instead providing a mild sweetness on the tip of the tongue, a long-lasting aftertaste that gradually lingers in the throat, preserving the sweet flavor for the drinker.
Thanh Tuyen Tea – The lingering flavor of time
The tea’s aroma is quite unique — a rustic, pleasant scent of ripe fruit and wildflowers, with a faint hint of familiar kitchen smoke. Sipping a cup evokes the feeling of sitting by a fire on an autumn afternoon in the highlands of Northwest Vietnam. The tea liquor has an amber hue, thick and shimmering with the fragrance of ripe fruit and comforting honey. Notably, the tea leaves tend to be porous, with large and coarse strands, unlike the tighter and more refined leaves of other teas.
Thanh Tuyen Tea can be brewed up to 10 times, each infusion revealing a different layer of flavor. Surely, drinkers will never forget the first sip with its unique and fresh sweetness from these ancient tea trees.
How to brew the perfect Thanh Tuyen Tea
Rinse the teapot and cups with boiling water before brewing.
Add 5 to 10 grams of tea into a 150ml teapot.
Use water cooled to 80 – 90 °C.
Steep the tea for 1 to 3 minutes depending on preference for a stronger or lighter flavor.
Pour out all the tea from the pot. Stir the leaves inside, let the tea rest for 1–2 minutes, then add more water. One pot can be brewed 8 to 10 times.
