Moc Dinh Tea – Premium Ancient White Shan Snow Tea
Wooden Summit Tea belongs to the White Tea (Bạch Trà) category, crafted from 100% single-bud leaves plucked from ancient Shan Tuyet tea trees aged between 300–500 years. These leaves are carefully handpicked and traditionally processed, resulting in a tea of the highest quality—distinctive for its elegant silvery-white appearance and fresh, grassy aroma, with a delicate and refined sweetness.
The King of White Teas
Moc Dinh Tea – Ancient White Shan Snow Tea is revered as the “King of Teas,” once served exclusively to royalty. In Vietnam, it is considered a premium, rare, and treasured tea, often in limited supply.
Origin
Moc Dinh Tea is made from 100% single buds of ancient Shan Tuyet trees found in the mountainous provinces of Northwest Vietnam, at altitudes of 1,800 to 2,100 meters. These regions are shrouded year-round in mist and clouds, imbuing the tea with the essence of nature. Local ethnic people begin harvesting the tea at dawn (4–5 AM), during the transition between yin and yang, when the buds are at their most tender and flavorful. The tea is then processed by hand using time-honored, secret techniques passed down through generations. The result is an all-natural, high-grade tea worthy of deep appreciation by tea enthusiasts.
Characteristics
Appearance: Selected buds are covered with pristine white hairs and are uniformly shaped.
Infusion: When brewed, the liquor is clear and luminous—typically pale white, golden, or honey-toned, depending on the tea master’s process or the brewing method. Fine white hairs can be seen floating delicately on the surface.
Aroma and Taste: The fragrance evokes early morning grass and dew. The flavor is light, mellow, and refreshingly sweet—never bitter or astringent. The sweetness lingers gently in the throat long after sipping.
Optimal Brewing Method
Rinse the teapot and cups with boiling water before brewing.
Use 5–10 grams of tea for a 150ml teapot.
Brew with water at 80–90°C (176–194°F).
Steep for 1–3 minutes depending on your preference for a stronger or lighter taste.
Pour out all the tea from the pot. Let the leaves rest for 1–2 minutes, then refill with water.
One pot can yield 8–10 infusions.
